Wolfson College Boat Club has a rich history of rowing excellence at the University of Oxford. We are passionate about the sport and dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for rowers of all levels. The boys make history by obtaining the first headship ever for the colleges' men’s side.
They swiftly bumped Christ Church on Day 1, vindicating the epic race that 2 years ago had them only half a canvas away from heaven.
They then proceeded to keep a strong Oriel side at bay for three days in a row.
On the final day, they put in a dominant display by rowing past the roaring crowds at boathouse island with more than 1.5 length advantage. In the words of Rory’s favourite motto : “Again, but better”. 💛❤️

With the river conditions splitting their division in two, M2 found themselves the unexpected sandwich boat of Div. 3b. However, a decisive row over and subsequent bump of Wadham II on day 1 secured their place Div. 3a, as well as the M2 headship. Now chasing Green Templeton, the crew's hopes for an easier row on days 2&3 were dashed as they were forced to go for overbumps on Mansfield and Linacre when GTC bumped out early. Determined to catch GTC on the final day, Wolfson came flying out of the blocks for a speedy conclusion by Long Bridges. This final bump awarded M2 blades, as well as securing the historic M2 headship, with sights set on Div. 2 in 2026!

Wolfson W1: Came in hot on Day 1 with a solid bump on Keble, then set their sights on Oriel, chasing them down day after day—always within striking distance but just out of reach. Despite a final-day bump from Wadham, they showed grit and power all the way to the finish. Yeah W1!

Next comes W2: they kicked off the week in style with a bump on Day 1. Despite being on the receiving end of a few bumps along the way, they managed to retain W2 headship, proving that once you're on top, you belong there!

It was a fantastic Torpids campaign for Wolfson! Let’s start the round-up of the week with W3 - the only third boat wattsy enough to take on the senior divisions. No bumps, no drops, four row overs on the Isis for them! #W3Headship

Give it up for our President 2024/2025! 🤠

Ben has previously been the captain of the men’s team, and this year stepped up to become the boat club president.

Iconic rowing moment: getting distracted looking at cows while bankriding and turning around to discover the 4 had capsized. 🫣

Can typically be found: hitting snooze on the alarm 3 times too many then cycling furiously to the boathouse.
