Wolfson’s W1 went to London last Saturday to race in the “largest women’s rowing race in the world”: a head race on the tideway between Mortlake and Putney over 6.9km. Under a beautiful sunshine they rowed a good race and completed the course in 21:44.65 min. They finished 157th out of the 297 ranked crews. This placed them behind Worcester and Hertford colleges but in front of Linacre and Keble. It was a great experience for the crew as 5 out of the 8 girls had never raced on the tideway or on such a long distance before. Many thanks to Sam who stepped into the coxing seat, meeting most of the crew only an hour before the race!
